Anthony's coming to Riverstone
Nils Rosdahl | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 9 years, 8 months AGO
This week the focus is on Riverstone and downtown Coeur d'Alene as previously vacant locations gain tenants.
Not quite.
Anthony's at Coeur d'Alene will be a new building on the pond at Riverstone just north of Bardenay. The 6,125-square-foot dinner house will seat 150 people indoors and many more on a 4,200-square-foot partially covered exterior patio.
Monte Miller of Miller Stauffer Architects of Coeur d'Alene designed the place, with dining areas having access to decks and views of the pond and open-display kitchen. The interior design responds to the area's sawmill history with extensive exposed structural wood.
"Riverstone is a unique community that captures the feel we love for our restaurant," said owner Budd Gould. "We are excited to bring fresh Northwest seafood, local wine and micro-brews and fresh seasonal produce to Idaho."
Operating since 1969, Anthony's has 18 restaurants, seven casual eateries, three to-go places and its own seafood company on a Seattle pier. The Riverstone location will serve lunch and dinner and employ 80 people when it opens in June 2016. Check www.anthonys.com.
Marmalade opens this week
Featuring women's clothes and accessories, Marmalade plans to open Wednesday at 308 E. Sherman Ave. (the former Sandra Kay's spot that earlier was the Clothes Closet).
"I've always loved that location," said owner Marie Widmyer. Her store is moving after eight years at 117 S. Fourth St., another historical location of the former Mrs. T's (owned by Mary Templin). Widmyer also has had Marie's Boutique in the lobby of The Coeur d'Alene Resort for 20 years (name-wise ironically purchased from Marie O'Brien).
Widmyer is aided by daughters Kaity and Kasey with separate flairs with a "classic edgy taste" and "European feminine chic." With seven employees, Marmalade hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily in the summer months. Phone 819-9455. Check "marmaladefreshclothing" on Facebook and Instagram.
Cameo moves to Riverstone
"Everything bridal" is the emphasis of Cameo that opened Saturday on Main Street in Riverstone. The store moved after 10 years at Northwest Boulevard.
"We are the same great custom bridal and formal wear shop expanding to offer dresses for every occasion for every size and budget," said owner Misty Ceriello. "Our stylist will help you pick the perfect dress for your body type and make you feel and look amazing!" Ceriello said she travels all over the nation to bring top styles to Coeur d'Alene.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 to 8 Fridays, 10 to 7 Saturdays and 11 to 4 Sundays (closed Tuesdays). Phone 765-6900. Check www.cameofashion.com and www.cameobridal.com.
