ANNIVERSARY
Bob and Carol Cook
50th Anniversary
Bob and Carol (Shell) Cook, of Coeur d'Alene, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on May 22, 2015. They were married May 22, 1965, in Las Vegas.
Bob retired from the Idaho Transportation Department in 2006 after 26 years. Carol retired from the Forest Service in 2007 after 25 years.
Their children are Scott and Brenda (Marmon) Cook of Athol, and Jennifer Huckabee and fiance Jon Digman of Post Falls. Their grandsons are Wayne Huckabee and Zachary Cook.
They plan to celebrate by traveling to Banff, Alberta, Canada, later in the year.
ENGAGEMENT
Lee-Reagan
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lee are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Lee to Johnathan Reagan. Wedding plans are for August 2016.
Jasper Leo Morgan was born at 2:56 p.m. May 11, 2015, to Ariel Corder and Jesse Morgan of Smelterville. He weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Robert and Lynda Burden, and Jim and Linda Wines. Paternal grandparents are Tim and Stella Morgan.
EDUCATION
Sean Paul Haler graduated from the University of Idaho this month with a Ph.D. in mathematics. He is the son of Gary and Nancy Haler of Coeur d'Alene, and a 1998 Lake City High School graduate. Sean lives in Baltimore with his wife, Alicia, and daughter Gianna, and works for the Department of Defense.
MILITARY
Seaman Apprentice Lynn Ransier is a 2014 Coeur d'Alene High School graduate and Coeur d'Alene native is serving with a U.S. Navy helicopter squadron that flies the Navy's newest and most technologically-advanced helicopter, the MH-60R Sea Hawk.
Seaman Ransier is a master-at-arms with the "Raptors" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 71, based in San Diego.
The squadron deploys its helicopters and personnel around the world aboard a variety of Navy ships, including frigates, destroyers, cruisers and aircraft carriers.
While aboard ships at sea, the squadron conducts a variety of missions.
As a master-at-arms, Ransier serves as a police officer for the squadron and is responsible for maintaining good order and discipline within the squadron. She also helps with maintenance around the hangar.
