Getts opened the tourney with a win against Brittney Schaff of Hardin, 6-2, 6-2, and then dropped Amber Wissenbach of Corvallis 6-2, 6-2. But she faltered against eventual champion, Barclay Fagg of Billings Central, in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-2. This was Getts’ first loss of the season. Getts then beat Marlee Congdon of Polson, 2-6, 6-0, 6-0 to make it to the consolation final.
Getts, a junior, will get another shot at a state title next year.
