Two Polson seniors were named to the 2015 State A All-Tournament softball team on Friday for guiding the Lady Pirates to a third-place finish last week in Anaconda.
Catcher Sarah Rausch and third baseman Taylor Brackey earned all-tournament accolades during Polson’s six-game run at the Class A state softball tournament.
In the six games, Brackey finished 7 for 22 with a double and two RBIs, while Rausch went 8 for 18, including a double and seven RBIs.
Rausch’s top performance was a 3 for 3 effort against host Anaconda in the tournament-opener — an 11-1 win. She drove in four runs.
Brackey went 3 for 4 against Northwestern A foe Libby, when the Lady Pirates eliminated the Loggers with a 5-4 victory.
State champion Frenchtown was awarded four honorees, and runner-up Belgrade earned three. Fourth-place Hamilton was awarded one.
