Ulen's goal sparks Shadow to win over Yakima

SPOKANE - Former Post Falls High and North Idaho College standout Brady Ulen scored in extra time in the first half on a rebound of a free kick as the Spokane Shadow shut out Yakima United 2-0 in an Evergreen Premier League soccer match Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.
Spokane's Zach Harris beat the keeper to the ball in the center of penalty area, but his shot caromed off the near left post and Ulen darted in and scored into an empty net.
Spokane (2-1-1, 7 points) travels to South Sound (5-0-1, 16 points) next Saturday.
First half - 1, Spo, Brady Ulen (unassisted), 45:00. Second half - 2, Spo, Zach Hamer (Kazuki Tateishi), 68:00.
