LETTER: Unusual analysis confirms vote for Osorio-Khor

I read Chris Cunningham’s letter to this paper. He summarized the candidates for Ward 3 in Kalispell correctly. Karlene Osorio-Khor does, as he wrote, “envision a Kalispell friendlier to businesses and family values. She wants new reform for westside parking, improvements to transportation infrastructure, would do away with parking fines and pledges not to raise taxes.”

Karlene is someone who does know about long-standing issues and she does “ground her proposals to change local policies in conventional wisdom.”

It was refreshing for this reader to read a letter written by a candidate that was not mean-spirited or inaccurate and more importantly, accurately assessed his opponents. Karlene is the “better delegate” because she is genuinely interested in giving people a voice in their community and its decisions which affect them.

Chris is right. Don’t let a handful of fellow residents make this decision on your behalf. Send in your ballots now. Vote. Go to the polls on Tuesday. It’s a great right and privilege. —Lynn Murray, Kila
