Charlo’s Jared Doty is dangerous if you don’t tackle him on the first try. The speedy junior can and has broken free of defenders to sprint down the sidelines and score big for the Vikings. Doty leads the team with 830 yards of rushing and has scored 20 touchdowns this year.
In his best game of the season, Doty scored six times to lead Charlo over Plains. Doty has also been the top receiver, with 288 yards through the air. Just because he’s good on offense doesn’t mean he can’t tackle. The 5’8” 170-pound defensive back also has 44 tackles and leads the team with three interceptions.
In the Vikings first round playoff game against Gardiner on Saturday, Doty had three touchdowns, ran for 86 yards, and caught one pass for 35 yards.
Doty hasn’t played football since his freshman year, which makes him even more impressive.
As the Vikings match up with Fairview on Saturday, look for Doty to have a big day.

The first-annual Paddle for Clean Water took place on a cool Sunday morning at Flathead Lake’s King’s Point. In fact, they had a few extras. One of the organizers, Dana Johnston, said she was happy with the turnout.
