Class A football: Havre whips Wildcats

HAVRE — All-state senior quarterback Dane Warp ran for two touchdowns and passed for three more to guide Havre past Columbia Falls 47-13 on Saturday in Class A quarterfinal football playoff action at Blue Pony Field.

Warp’s scoring runs covered 9 and 6 yards.

He hit Nate Rismon for touchdown passes covering 33 and 21 yards in the second quarter.

His other scoring toss was 31 yards to Jase Stokes in the third quarter.

Havre led 21-0 before Columbia Falls (5-4) put points on the board on a 65-yard touchdown pass from Dakota Bridwell to Austin Green.

The other Wildcats score was in the fourth quarter, a 12-yard toss from Bridwell to Sean Hoerner.

Havre (8-2) advances to semifinal play on Saturday at Dillon.
