LAW ROUNDUP: Explosive threats fly in Columbia Falls

A man contacted Columbia Falls Police after he left a bar on Nucleus Avenue and found that threatening messages had been scratched into the side of his truck. The man said the messages threatened to blow him up. The suspects are under a court order to have no-contact with the man’s wife.
An officer was dispatched after a caller reported that he saw a man ride by a grocery store on Nucleus Avenue on his bicycle. The bicycle crashed and the dog was allegedly caught in the chain, but the man yelled at the dog. The caller was concerned about the dog.
Officers found a youth group treasure hunt was under way after someone reported that there was a group of kids with flashlights gathered at the baseball fields on Third Avenue East. The caller said they had a feeling the kids were up to no good.
A bar bouncer called for backup from Whitefish Police after a drunken woman in her mid-20’s reportedly kept pulling the fire alarm.
A woman on Ceder Street asked an officer for help with a couple who kept trespassing on her property.
A vehicle on East Fifth Street was given 24 hours notice that it would be towed after attempts to reach the owner failed. Owners of the property said the vehicle had been parked on the property for a week.
An woman on Baker Avenue was told to contact a car dealer or locksmith after she tried to use the keys she was given to a car she just purchased and found that the keys would not open the car door.
A man on Bay Point Drive reported his wife missing after he left her at a bar at 2 a.m. the night before. The man said the woman usually stayed out all night, but returned in the morning. The woman came home shortly after the call and said that she had stayed at a bed and breakfast.
A custodian on East Second Street said that she had scared away four youths who were trying to break in to a school.
A 14-year-old boy leaving a basketball game on East Second Street called to report that he was worried about a stray dog in the area.
Officers were sent to a bench across from a Central Avenue bar where a man was asleep and had apparently urinated on himself.
Kalispell Police gave a woman a life-long trespass notice from a gas station on U.S. 93, after she tried to steal alcohol from the establishment.
A 4-year-old girl was reunited with her father after she was found on Third Avenue West. The child could not remember where she lived.
Officers found nothing suspicious after someone reported that they saw a post on Facebook where a “Russian” and a “redneck” were supposed to be fighting on Hutton Ranch Road.
A woman on Seventh Avenue West said that she had sold something on Craigslist and received payment for the item in the mail in the form of a fraudulent check. Officers confirmed the check was fraudulent and told the woman not to cash it.
A man on Windward Way was cautioned about his marijuana use after a neighbor complained that her two small children were within breathing distance of the smoke.
Officers logged on report after someone traveling on U.S. 93 reported that they saw a man at a residence screaming before he shot off a gun. The reporting party thought the man was screaming threats that he wanted to kill people.
