Wampus Cats land three on All-North Star League volleyball team

CLARK FORK — Wampus Cat senior outside hitter Leslie Kiebert posted a team-high 129 kills to go with 21 aces, joining junior setter Nona Young and freshman setter Brooke Stevens on the All-North Star League volleyball team, as voted on recently by the league’s coaches.

The lone senior, Kiebert shared co-captain duties with Young and Emily Garman, and earned an all-league selection for the third time. Her senior leadership was valuable on an unusually young team.

“Leslie did a great job of accepting the freshmen on the team as well as helping them make the transition from junior high to high school volleyball. She was a positive player and worked hard on the court. I saw her improve as a team leader this year,” said head coach Cindy Derr. “She was our go-to player in the front row. Leslie was consistent in serving and she did an impressive job passing in the back row. I will miss her leadership and hard work next year.”
