A suspect remained in the Flathead County Detention Center on Tuesday for multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after five police officers had to work together to keep him in custody.

Two officers were slightly injured in the scuffle.

Taylor Anthony Beeson, 23, was arrested Nov. 4 after the Hilton Garden Inn reported a trespasser, according to court documents. Kalispell Police officers apprehended Beeson, who allegedly provided officers a fictitious name.

Beeson then told officers he was going to grab his gun and leave. Officers secured the weapon and patted Beeson down, at which point Beeson allegedly admitted having marijuana. Field tests of baggies of drugs and paraphernalia found in Beeson’s possession tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.

Officers also found a suspected baggie of heroin.

When Beeson was being booked into jail, officers let him use the restroom. Upon his return, Beeson resisted when officers tried to cuff him again.

According to Kalispell Police Patrol Capt. Tim Falkner, several officers helped bring Beeson to the ground to help detain him.

“A couple of the officers sustained minor cuts to their arms and hands,” Falkner said. The injuries did not require serious medical treatment.

Beeson has been charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, one misdemeanor count of obstructing the peace and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
