A Bigfork man was jailed Sunday on felony criminal endangerment charges after he allegedly fired a gun while drunk.
According to court documents, a Flathead County sheriff’s deputy responded to the home of Bradley James Welsh, 31, on Electric Avenue after his girlfriend called dispatch.
She reported that Welsh had come home drunk at 2 a.m. He allegedly went to the couple’s bedroom and began loading his .40 caliber handgun.
Welsh allegedly said he “wanted to shoot someone” and fired a round from the gun toward Electric Avenue and several homes.
The deputy found the .40 caliber handgun and a spent casing in the couple’s bedroom.
Welsh remained in jail Tuesday. He is facing up to 10 years in jail and a $50,000 fine if convicted.
