China Inn set to open on Fourth

A traditional Chinese menu focusing on fresh and healthy food will be at The China Inn. The new restaurant will open Dec. 1 at 310 N. Fourth St. The location was the home of The Chinese Gardens restaurant that closed recently when owner E-Chen retired after 42 years.
The renovated location can seat 85 customers with a party room for 30 people and a private room for eight. Owners (husband and wife) Wen Luo and Qin Li will offer lunch and dinner with take-out food available. He has 20 years experience in the business. Wine and beer are available. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Opening in the northeast corner of Pleasantview Road and Seltice Way west of Post Falls, Up North Distillery offers unique spirits based 100 percent on honey. It can be used like vodka in its unaged form or like a whiskey after it ages. Also offered are apple brandy, Applejack (brandy with fresh apple cider) and a full bar with craft spirits, three rotating local craft brews, local wines and 10 signature drinks that change monthly.
Owners Randy and Hillary Mann and Dan and Danielle Beckius will have their products listed with the Idaho Liquor Dispensary to provide product tastings and bottles available.

Dr. Monte Gores has opened his acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine clinic in Suite 5A at 1034 N. Third St., Coeur d’Alene.
Conditions he addresses include pain, sports injuries, allergies, infertility, migraines and insomnia with the help of acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui-na therapy, cupping, nutritional therapy and qi gong exercises. Dr. Gores has 16 years experience and trained in China.
