COEUR d'ALENE — The agents of Northwest Realty Group and Compass Property Management are enjoying their new building, and you're invited to come visit and enjoy it, too.

"We love the two-way location, love being close to downtown, close to the hospital, close to the lake,” said Realtor Marcello Conigliaro, who co-owns the business with longtime colleague and Realtor Chad Oakland.

“We’re close to everything,” Oakland said. “It’s nice having private offices for everybody and it’s nice having the space.”

Conigliaro and Oakland welcomed The Press on Nov. 17 to tour the new 4,200 square-foot facility, which is located at 2022 N. Government Way in Coeur d'Alene. The lobby is inviting, complete with a toasty fireplace and cozy furniture. And hanging on the walls are images of Coeur d'Alene and North Idaho, the community which Northwest, Compass and their agents proudly serve.

Both Conigliaro and Oakland worked in smaller firms before working at a larger firm and realizing the smaller, more community-minded business was best for them. They both enjoy working with local people and giving back wherever possible — schools, little league teams, you name it.

“I think our biggest reason is we just felt the need to have a smaller ‘mom and pop’ factor, where everybody knows what’s going on, everybody cares about everybody’s business," Conigliaro said.

Northwest Realty Group was founded in 2012 with just a couple agents and has now grown into the No. 1 independent real estate company in Kootenai County with 18 full-time licensed agents, five employees and sales in excess of $125 million just this year, Conigliaro reported. Northwest Realty Group was previously located at 1919 N. Third Street and officially opened at the new location Oct. 26.

“We were just growing and we ran out of space in our old location,” Conigliaro said. “We don’t have any plans to get any bigger. Now that we have this new building, we’re set. We just want to continue to provide great quality services to our clients."

Northwest Realty Group and Compass Property Management will be welcoming the public Tuesday for a grand opening and free open house from 3-6 p.m. Guests will be able to tour the building, enjoy refreshments and do a little networking while mingling with the realtors who just may sell them their next big investment.

"Helping people with the single biggest investment in their life is highly rewarding, it's huge," Conigliaro said. "We’re looking forward to the continuation of the strong real estate market in 2016.”

"We care about where we work," Oakland said. "We care about people we do stuff for."
