Margaret Goss Carter, 69
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 9 years, 2 months AGO
Margaret “Maggie” was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Glendive to Ernest and Annie Lou Goss. She was the oldest of five girls and granddaughter of William and Bessie Goss who homesteaded in Richey, Montana, in 1912. Maggie attended school at Edgerton Elementary, Central School and Flathead High.
For 13 years she fought valiantly against metastatic breast cancer but on Nov. 17, 2015, was released from her suffering in Newport Beach, California, where she lived.
Maggie was a successful Realtor in California but her greatest joy was her daughter, Cynthia, and Nick Rosen and grandsons, Cody and Sam of San Francisco. There was always time for another visit to Disneyland with her family.
Additionally surviving Maggie are her sisters, Carolyn and Steve Barlow of Sammamish, Washington, and Christina Wood of Portland; her aunt, Evelyn Syth, of Kalispell; nieces, Jennifer McKenny and Shana Johnson, who called her their “fun aunt”; and cousins in Kalispell, Richey and throughout the state.
Maggie was laid to rest at Harbor Lawn-Mount Olive Memorial Park in Costa Mesa, California. We will miss her smile and that sparkle in her eyes.
