OPINION: Sorting through myths and dogma in the wake of Paris Massacre
P. DAVID MYEROWITZ | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 10 years AGO
We are in the early stages this Nov. 15 of finding out the details of the horrendous Paris Massacre by Islamofascists. It appears that at least one of these deranged murderers may have been someone leaving Syria in October under the guise of being a Syrian refugee.
When a member of the president’s inner sanctum, Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser, was asked if the president was going to reconsider his plan to fly 170,000 of these presumed Muslim Syrian refugees to the United States (already begun with hundreds entering New Orleans this very week) he defiantly declared that Obama was unconcerned since they would all be fully vetted.
This is an absolute lie, contradicted by the head of the FBI and other national security agencies. There is no way to vet people coming from a state like Syria. Will Assad, someone Obama threatens to destroy (though with the same wussy follow-through of most of his threats) provide the information required to do a real background check? This is nonsensical.
I agree with setting up safe and decent camps in neighboring Muslim countries to deal with these people and a no-fly zone to ensure their safety. But they are not our problem. If Europe wants to sacrifice their culture by allowing unlimited and un-vetted Muslim immigration, now 7.5 percent of the population of France, and subject their population to Islamofascist massacres, we certainly don’t have to follow. Bombing Syria the day after an Islamofascist massacre may make their Socialist leader Hollande feel better and appear strong, but will do nothing to maintain French culture and safety with their growing Muslim population.
If the administration wants to accept Syrian refugees, how about starting with the Christians who are being murdered and raped for their religion? Obama responded to such a suggestion, “... that’s shameful. That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion.” Funny, though, that of the 2,184 Syrian refugees thus far admitted to the United States, only 53 — less than 3 percent — are Christian despite the widespread murder by ISIS of anyone Christian. Is his administration using a religious test to favor Muslims?
I am truly tired of hearing the liberals talk about how there are a few bad Muslim apples, but most followers of Islam are peace loving. Where are the shocked reactions in the streets of Muslim countries condemning the Paris Massacre? Why did these same peace-loving Muslims dance in the Arab streets after the Twin Towers went down?
Pre-World War II Nazi Germany had a population of nearly 70 million. Yet, very few of these “normal” Germans fought the Nazi movement, and most that did were non-ethnic German citizens. Does anyone really expect the non-radical Muslims to rise up in defense of Western civilization? Don’t hold your breath! And if, due to the ineptitude of leaders like Hollande, Merkel and Obama, ISIS is able to control large areas of the Middle East from which to strike at Western civilization, it is only a matter of time before an ISIS murderer strikes in this country as they continue to threaten.

Inter Lake too tough on Zinke?
I am not for wasteful government spending, but does the Daily Inter Lake need to parrot the Associated Press’s repeated assaults on Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke’s air transportation spending ... and putting this garbage on the front page? After the liberal media got rid of HHS secretary Tom Price for using excessive charter flights, I’m sure they figure this is a way to get rid of most of the president’s Cabinet, not that any Democrats ever abused this privilege!
Was Obama team working to undermine Trump transition?
WOW! Can this piece-of-work we call the Congress and the drive-by media be any more pathetically one sided? Can their emphasis on character assassination and process overshadow the truth any more than they have obfuscated the truth thus far?
Creative problem-solving needed in Glacier Park
So Glacier National Park is considering a “one car in, one car out” policy at venues on dead-end roads such as Bowman Lake due to overcrowded parking causing a “safety issue.” I wonder how often emergency vehicles have had a problem getting to where they were needed at the lake. Not to mention that it seems to me a helicopter would be more useful in providing timely intervention and not be affected by overcrowded parking. My guess is that there are fewer than 50 parking spaces (excluding the campground itself) for the whole site, including people parking for multi-day backcountry hiking.
