A woman called the Whitefish Police Department to report that her ex-boyfriend made an unauthorized purchase using her credit card.

Someone reportedly hit a deer on Wisconsin Avenue. The animal was injured, and so an officer dispatched it. The food bank was contacted about possibly using the meat.

A caller requested officers’ assistance after his son reportedly opened the door of their vehicle and hit the vehicle parked next to it in a parking lot on U.S. 93 South. The driver of the other vehicle was “making a big deal about it,” and so the caller wanted police to take a report. Officers found there was no significant damage, and the vehicle owners exchanged insurance information without further intervention necessary.

A caller on J.P. Road reported hearing gunshots and was concerned that someone might be illegally hunting geese along the river in city limits.

A man was reportedly seen on Karrow Avenue laying in the road, then getting up and stumbling down the sidewalk. Officers were unable to locate the man.

Officers responded to a verbal disturbance on Baker Avenue. They separated the parties involved.

A Baker Avenue resident called to report that her roommate had taken her dog for an off-leash walk. The woman was concerned because the dog is a service animal.

Someone found a small, “very friendly” dog on U.S. 93 South and brought it to the police station. The Shih Tzu, reportedly donning a pink sequined jacket, was reunited with its owner.

A driver called to report a man stumbling in and out of the road on Central Avenue. The driver was concerned the man might get hit by a vehicle. Officers found the man leaning against the wall of a downtown business. He refused help and planned to continue to walk home.

A First Avenue East North resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a large set of wrenches missing from his vehicle. The man said his vehicle was locked, but he did have a hide-a-key. He suspected his son was behind the theft.

A woman called police after she locked herself out of her house and was worried the oven was still on.
