PARADISE – Montana Highway Patrol and the Sanders County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue were deployed Thursday morning, to assist with an operation by the Northwestern Drug Task Force.

The task force responded to a report of unknown objects being dropped into the Clark Fork River near the Paradise Bridge. They called in Search and Rescue to help search the water for them. Only one boat was deployed, though multiple people were searching from the banks.

Both objects were recovered. The situation is still being investigated, so information is limited.
