A Columbia Falls woman has been charged with felony criminal child endangerment and misdemeanor reckless driving after she allegedly drove drunk and caused a crash with a 5-year-old child in her car on Tuesday.
Kelsie Lynn Vulgamore, 26, told a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper she did not see another vehicle as she made a turn near the intersection of U.S. 2 and River Road, according to court documents. Vulgamore’s vehicle collided with another vehicle.
Vulgamore smelled of alcohol and performed very poorly in field sobriety tests. A breath sample provided at the scene indicated her blood alcohol concentration was .316, nearly four times the legal limit of .08.
She faces up to 10 years in prison and a $50,000 fine if convicted.
