Hunter Missing last seen near Royal

ROYAL CITY — An archery hunter was reported missing after he didn’t return or make contact with his family as of Friday night, Nov. 20, according to Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones.
The last known whereabouts of Thomas Mark Stieg are in the bluffs above Crab Creek, approximately 2.5 miles south of Hwy 26, west of Royal City.
Thomas Mark Stieg, 55, is described as six feet tall and approximately 180 pounds. He was last known to be wearing camouflage clothing and would have had his archery equipment with him. Stieg reportedly left home at 3 a.m. on Nov. 20 for a one-day hunt.
Stieg was driving a black 2013 Ford F150 pickup, license plate number B58677Y. His vehicle has been located, but he had not been found by Sun Tribune press time.
