Police have identified 8-year-old Autumn Hawk as the girl who died in a motor-home fire Thursday at 425 Daley Lane near Foy’s Lake.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and Flathead County fire investigation team are looking into the cause of the incident that originally was reported as a fire that started from an explosion.
The investigation is expected to take several days.
The girl’s parents, Nicole Davidson and Joseph Hawk, were able to escape the fire. They were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center where they were treated and released.
Later Thursday evening, Joseph Hawk was booked into the Flathead County Detention Center for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, partner/family member assault and obstruction of a peace officer or public servant.
Undersheriff Dave Leib referred questions about the incident to Sheriff Chuck Curry, who could not be reached for comment Friday afternoon.
