Hearing is waived in toddler death

SANDPOINT — A Bonner County woman charged in connection with the death of her 3-year-old boy is scheduled to be arraigned in 1st District Court on Oct. 19.

Samantha Renee Lewis, 23, waived her right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday in magistrate court and was bound over to stand trial on a charge of felony injury to a child. She is free on her own recognizance while the case is pending.
