Neighbors not horsing around with thievery of pillowcase

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies took a report of an ongoing civil dispute over a private road on Magstadt Lane that escalated as a woman reported that she saw a neighbor remove a sawhorse from her family’s property. The sawhorse was taken in retaliation for the woman’s husband stealing a pillowcase that had been placed over a sign on her property. The pillowcase was returned and the woman wanted the same to be done with the sawhorse. Deputies counseled the parties.
Deputies followed up and tried to locate suspects who allegedly took 30 Blu-ray disks and a universal remote worth a total of $1,200 from a home on Hodgson Road near Columbia Falls.
A very upset woman on Blue Lake Lane near Bigfork reported that there was a llama on her property.
Extra patrol was conducted on Sunny Lane in Columbia Falls after a woman noticed a man in his 20s hitchhiking with a chainsaw. The woman checked her garage and noticed that she had a chain saw that was missing.
A woman on Hanging Rock Drive in Bigfork reported that someone had been getting into mailboxes, stealing mail and throwing it in her yard. The woman was upset that it took two deputies to respond the last time the incident was report. Deputies responded and counseled the woman about the issue, which had already been addressed by another officer.
A woman reported that she saw her ex-boyfriend at a bar on Montana 35 and one of the ex-boyfriend’s friends dropped his pants for a full minute.
Columbia Falls Police Department took a report of a burglary on Thirteenth Street West where someone found that a trailer door had been pried open over the weekend. Computers were stolen. The burglar broke a window to leave the building.
Whitefish Police Department spoke with the probation officer of a man who was accused of stalking a woman on Columbia Avenue. The woman has a stalking complaint pending against the man, yet she found cameras she believed he planted on her property. She disabled the camera’s memory and contacted law enforcement for help.
A person on Skyles Place complained that religious solicitors would not move their vehicle from the roadway when asked and made contact with a 90-year-old neighbor despite requests from other neighbors not to do so. Officers advised the reporting party of solicitor’s rights.
A woman on Fourth Street West reported to Kalispell Police that someone was digging through the garbage. Officers located two people who said they had lost something valuable and were searching the trash for it.
A person on East Northview Loop reported that three people were doing door-to-door sales in the neighborhood at 8:30 p.m. The caller thought it was suspicious because of the late hour. Officers found students who were part of a youth group working to earn a school scholarship.
A parent with children in the car was upset after someone on Sixth Avenue West and Tenth Street West tried to hit two vehicles “like it was a game.” Officers did not locate the vehicle.
