Timberlake captures IML crown
SPIRIT LAKE — Kenzie Dean had eight kills, one block, six digs and two aces to lead the Timberlake Tigers past the Kellogg Wildcats 25-16, 25-17, 25-22 to clinch the Intermountain League championship Tuesday night.
Courtney Eaton had three aces, Jacquelyn Mallet 11 kills and five digs and Matraca Rocheleau 24 assists and four aces for Timberlake (18-7, 5-0 IML), which hosts the Post Falls JV on Thursday.
Marley Chambers had 12 assists and 11 digs, Jasmine James four kills and Kaili Cates four kills for Kellogg (3-7, 2-3), which hosts Wallace on Monday.

POST FALLS — Ashley Kaufman had 10 kills and 15 digs for the Timberwolves, who beat the Trojans 25-12, 23-25, 25-20, 25-22 in 5A Inland Empire League play at The Arena.
Macy DuCoeur had eight kills, seven digs and three aces and CC Cates had 23 digs for Lake City (20-3, 5-0 5A IEL), which travels to Coeur d’Alene next Tuesday.
Allison Munday had 12 kills and two aces, Kayla Mayo 18 assists, Sydney Parks six blocks and Mackie Morris 17 digs for Post Falls (13-14, 1-4), which hosts a tri-match with Moscow and Moses Lake on Saturday.

HARRISON FLATS — Grace McInturff totaled 13 kills as the Warriors won their fifth straight match, beating the Knights 25-12, 25-11, 18-25, 25-13 in North Star League play.
Paxton Dotson had 15 assists and eight kills for Kootenai (12-5, 7-2 NSL). Alison Short had seven kills and two aces, Madison Napierala 13 assists, Kaili Gentry seven digs and two blocks, Rachael Riley nine digs and seven kills.
“The girls did a great job on the floor tonight,” Kootenai coach Mary Gentry said. “We had an awesome all-around team effort.”
Lillian Rhea had four digs, Rachel Arthur two aces, two kills and three digs and Te’a Lambert three kills and two digs for Lakeside (5-7, 4-5 NSL), which hosts St. Maries on Thursday.
“We were missing our key player and had to make some last-minute adjustments,” Lakeside co-coach Kellee Johnson said. “We had some trouble with that.”
Kootenai visits Coeur d’Alene Charter tonight at 6 at Holy Family Catholic School.
