SANDPOINT — A former Bonner General Health chief financial officer accused of embezzlement turned herself in for arrest at the Bonner County Jail on Tuesday.

Sheriff Daryl Wheeler said Norilina Salvatierra Harvel arrived at the facility with a bail bondsman. She was booked, fingerprinted and released on a reduced bond.

“She was in and out,” Wheeler said.

Harvel, 47, is charged with one count of grand theft. She is free on $50,000 bond and a preliminary hearing in her case is pending.

If convicted as charged, Harvel faces up to 14 years in prison.
