Love leads Cats in golf

Gabe Love shot an 87 and 89 for a two-day total 176 at the state A golf tournament in Sidney last week. That tied him for 30th in the tournament. LJ Panasuk, shot a 97, 99, for a 196, at 51st place, Logan Lybbert, shot a 105, 103 for a 208, for 58th and Logan Peck shot a 113, 96, for a 209 for 59th. Trey Perkins shot a 112, 119, for a 231, last in the tournament.

On the girls side, Shea Lefebvre, shot a 125, 120, for a 245, taking 45th. Kerry Lanners carded a 140, 135 for a 275, good for 56th. Ali Gould shot a 144, 136 for a 280 to take 59th.

Uphill skiers need to be aware of avalanches on Big Mtn.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
