A man with an extensive criminal history led Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies on an air chase in the Leisure Island area Friday afternoon.

Scott Lee Davis, 41, was apprehended with the help of Two Bear Air after he fled a traffic stop, according to an email alert sent out by Flathead County sheriff’s deputies.

Two deputies sustained minor injuries during the pursuit, but further information was not expected until later this week.

Davis had a $100,000 warrant out for his arrest for pending felony charges that included bail jumping, violations of parole and criminal posession of dangerous drugs.

He has been wanted for two years since he absconded from probation and didn’t show up for court on multiple charges.

Davis’s last high-profile run-in with the law was in 2012, when authorities charged him and 38-year-old Christopher Ferrari of Whitefish with conspiracy to distribute dangerous drugs. Davis was accused of receiving a FedEx package from Phoenix, Arizona, that contained a quarter-ounce of methamphetamine, 26 pills of 10-milligram oxycodone and 20 pills of 20-milligram oxycodone.

Davis is also on probation for four prior felonies including an escape conviction from 1994, a tampering with physical evidence conviction from 1998, a criminal endangerment conviction from 2011, and a theft conviction from 2006.

Davis admitted in a 2013 probation hearing that he had smoked marijuana, driven without a license, failed to obtain a court-ordered chemical dependency evaluation and was charged with partner/family member assault. He denied allegations that he tested positive for methamphetamine, as his probation officer claimed.

Davis was charged with bail jumping in July 2013 after he did not show up for a scheduled court appearance.
