The Daily Inter Lake | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 10 years, 5 months AGO
Flathead’s Jake Perrin and Glacier’s Annie Hill ran away from the competition on Wednesday at the Glacier cross country invitational, as Flathead picked up both team titles at the five-school meet.
Perrin won by more than 27 seconds, in 15:43.36, pulling away from Glacier’s Logan Harmon (16:10.86) and Tevyn Stetson (16:17.96) in second and third, respectively.
The Braves would place all five scoring runners in the top seven positions to easily clinch the team title with 23 points. Glacier, which placed all five in the top 10, finished second with 32 points.
Hill continued her dominant season by cruising to the finish in 17:29.35, more than a minute before any other runners finished.
Flathead’s Kaitlin Wride was second in 18:45.57 and Gillian Manness third in 19:05.15 to carry the Bravettes to a team victory. All five scorers were in the top eight to match the boys’ winning score of 23.
Glacier was in second with 34 points. Browning finished third in each team race.
