HOT SPRINGS - Thursday night’s game between the Plains Trotters and the Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat started off with the two teams neck and neck, but eventually the Trotters would come out on top.
The first set started with Hot Springs in the lead, with Plains following close behind.
At nine points the two teams tied up. The Trotters gained a point, but then the Heat caught up and tied it.
Plains moved ahead again, but again Hot Springs caught up to tie at 14 points.
From there Plains jumped ahead and held the lead moving far enough past the Heat and comfortably finishing the set 25-17.
As with the first set, the two teams stayed close to each other, trading the lead by only a point or two.
At eight points the Trotters climbed ahead and held a strong lead. They finished the set 25-13.
The third set was a clean sweep for Plains, who scored 10 points before Hot Springs scored one point.
The Heat caught up a bit, but the Trotters then exploded ahead again and finished the set and won the match, 24-11.
