Leona 'Donna' Guthrie, 81

On Oct. 14, 2015, Leona “Donna” Guthrie “went to be with the Lord.”
Donna was born on May 9, 1934, to Daniel and Jennie Minier near Dushore, Pennsylvania. Donna had 11 brothers and sisters.
She married the love of her life William “Bill” Guthrie on Sept. 3, 1955. To this union five children were born. Bill was in the military and the family traveled and lived in many places including Panama City, Florida, Anchorage, Alaska, and Kalispell. Donna and Bill loved Montana and retired in Kalispell in 1974.
Donna loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was 25. Donna was very active in her church, Easthaven Baptist Church. The people in her church were like a second family to her. She loved them very much.
Donna was a devoted and loving wife, mom and grandmother. Her daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren meant the world to her. She also loved her friends. She was known for helping, serving, giving and praying for many.
Her hobbies included Bible study, swimming, sewing, crafts, crochet and gardening.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her infant daughter Karen, her parents, and all but three of her siblings.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy and Virgil Rauch of Wolf Point, Debbie Weaver of Kalispell, Jennie and Bob VanBemmel of Exira, Iowa, and Billie and Jim Cumley of Kalispell; grandchildren, Anna Rose, Melissa, Samantha, Connie, Micah, Jonathan, Nathan, James, Geoffrey, Steven and LeeAnne; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Ora Bekker, Florence Dieffenbach and Oliver Minier; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in memory and celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 17, at Easthaven Baptist Church in Kalispell. Pastor Daniel Lambert will be officiating. Private burial services are being provided by Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
