LETTER: Thanks, but no thanks; we'll skip more bureaucracy

Although I am unacquainted with the Whitefish Government Review Commission, I compliment it on its adroit explanation of its goal in creating the position of ombudsman in the Whitefish government. 

I understand how an ombudsman might be useful in a large city where it would be difficult for a citizen to find his way through the labyrinth of government to be heard. However, I don’t see why we need both the expense and the additional bureaucracy in a small city such as Whitefish. —Larry Rooney, Whitefish
