Volleyball roundup: Whitefish, Libby grab wins on senior night

WHITEFISH — Whitefish ran away with a senior night victory against Eureka on Tuesday, sweeping Eureka 25-16, 25-19, 25-11 in a nonconference volleyball match.
Cailyn Ross had 12 kills and three blocks and Allie Schulz had 13 assists and three aces to lead the Bulldogs in the victory.
Eureka had big games from sisters Kassi and Amanda Peterson. Kassi had nine kills, 13 digs and a block while Amanda had nine kills, 12 digs and a block to help the Lions. Sienna Utter had a pair of aces for Eureka.

LIBBY — Crosstown rival Troy wouldn’t let Libby off with an easy victory on senior night, making the Loggers work for a 21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 28-26 District 7B conference victory on Tuesday.
India Croucher had eight kills and four aces for Libby, Bailie Rosling had 11 digs and Emily Mossburg had 10 blocks.
“It was a team effort,” Libby coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston said. “Troy was not backing down, they battled to the end.”
Aurora Becquart had nine kills and five blocks to lead the Trojans.
