Judge orders prison in molestation case

SANDPOINT — A Moyie Springs man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for engaging in lewd conduct and sexual abuse of a minor.

Ernest Ray Johnson III will have to serve at least three years of incarceration before he can be considered for parole, according to the terms of the sentence imposed by 1st District Judge Barbara Buchanan.

Johnson had no visible reaction to the sentence when it was imposed and continued to profess his innocence.
