The Columbia Falls volleyball team went 12-11 at the Missoula Invitational last week. The Wildkats ended up third in the consolation bracket.
Game results were not available. Teams didn’t play full sets to 25 until the second day, said coach Jessy Matthews.
The tournament pitted class A schools against AA schools.
“Even though we dropped a few more sets than we were hoping to, we finally got to play teams that required us to be at our best in order to compete with them,” Matthews said. “Which is great practice for us with post-season right around the corner. We learned more this last week playing some bigger schools than we have all season playing the teams in our conference and we finished the two days stronger than we started which is always a goal for us.”
The girls face Stevensville and Libby at home Saturday, with matches starting at 10 a.m. It’s senior recognition day, as those two matches are the last at home. The team rounds out the rest of the season on the road.
