Authorities believe Lyle R. Zeiler, 25 of Arlee, pulled one woman away from a two-woman fight, beat her, then stabbed her in the back before he was finished, a Lake County Court affidavit said. Zeiler’s bizarre activities started after he saw a third woman, Margaret Redwoman, try to stop the original fight between Michelle Pablo and Shaczie Redwoman.

Lake County prosecutors said that when Zeiler got involved, he pulled Margaret Redwoman away, punched her in the face, then wrestled her to the ground, the affidavit said. Michelle Pablo told authorities she thought was a knife in Zeiler’s hands, the affidavit said.

Later, after leaving the scene, Margaret Redwoman realized she was stabbed in the upper back, the records said.

Zeiler, was charged with felony assault for the Sept. 18 altercation.
