Plane crash victims identified as Hensleys

SANDPOINT — Officials have positively identified the remains recovered at the scene of an Oct. 8 airplane crash in the Cabinet Mountains as those of Donald Hensely and his wife, Bessie “Tookie” Hensley.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office made the identification, Bonner County Coroner Kit Rose said on Thursday. A positive identification of the third occupant, Dr. Pam Riddle Bird, has not yet been made, Rose added.
