LAS VEGAS — Columbia Falls bull rider Matt Triplett was dominant on Saturday night, making easy work of his fourth ride at the Professional Bull Riders World Finals.

Triplett left no doubt on his ride in the fourth round, scoring 87.25 points on Shoot Out The Lights, his second straight ride at the event. The 22-year-old flipped his hat after the ride in exclamation, celebrating with some of the fans in attendance.

It was the sixth-best ride of the night and moved Triplett into sixth place in aggregate for the event with 175.25 points, nearly 100 points behind the man who stole the attention for the night.

J.B. Mauney clinched his second world title as contenders Joao Ricardo Vieira and Kaique Pacheco failed to place among the top cowboys of the round. After it was announced, Mauney rode Bruiser for a round-best 92.75 points on his victory lap dismounting to a chorus of cheers at the Thomas & Mack Center. It was his fourth ride of the event, putting him at 270.25 points on aggregate.

The event continues today with the fifth round beginning at 2 p.m. and will be aired on CBS Sports Network.

The top 15 cowboys after the fifth round will advance to the championship round.
