Traditional coffee and espresso drinks from Italy will be the focus of Strada Cafe. Offering the “perfect cup of coffee” and pastries and baked goods, owner Jeffrey Gagnon plans to open about Nov. 1 at 1830 N. Third St. (formerly Oil Can Henry’s).

Named after “street cafes” in Florence, Italy, Strada Cafe will seat 16 people and have an elegant industrial theme. A manual espresso machine will help provide cappuccinos, affagotos and lattes starting at 7 a.m. daily. Gagnon will be helped by son Robby and his wife Tessa.

Now here’s this week’s Tidbits

- Watch for news on Nexus Financial and Growler Guys on Appleway, Heritage Hardwoods and China Inn Cafe on Fourth Street, a new Zips in Post Falls and The Labrador Store & More in The Plaza Shops.

- We should have details soon on the huge Bighorn Industrial Park planned for Pleasantview Road and Poleline Road west of Post Falls.

- Try to explore the Pulaski Trail close to Wallace. The 2-mile hike has many informative stops about the heroics of Edward Pulaski during the 1910 fires.

- Usually numbers under 10 are written as words and two digits or more (such as 10) are written as numerals. But don’t start a sentence with a numeral unless it’s a year.

- I’m tired of not getting enough sleep.
