SANDPOINT — A preliminary hearing in a felony theft case pending against Bonner General Health’s former chief financial officer is being postponed.

Counsel for Norilina Salvatierra Harvel and the prosecution moved jointly to postpone the hearing so additional discovery can be conducted and reviewed, court records show. The hearing, in which a judge determines if there is sufficient evidence to justify a trial, was set for today.

The hearing was reset for Nov. 12 in Bonner County Magistrate Court.

Harvel, 47, of Washington, Utah, is free on $50,000 bail while her case is pending.
