Triplett wraps up season fourth in world

Columbia Falls bullrider Matt Triplett had a great showing at the Professional Bullriders Built Ford Tough Series World Finals in Las Vegas over the past week.

Triplett, 23, took ninth overall with 135 points and finishes the season ranked fourth in the world overall.

Triplett’s total earnings for the year were $225,000. Triplett came off a knee injury earlier this season to have two great rides at the finals. Triplett won two events outright this season and had 13 top five finishes.

In the fourth round of the finals, Triplett had 87.25 points on Shoot Out The Lights and scored 88 points on Little Willie an earlier round.

Those were his only successful rides in the finals.
