Polson, Arlee, Mission and Ronan all had their last regular season game on Friday. For Ronan and Mission, it would be their last of the season. It also happened to be a game that they played against each other. Polson played a tough Havre team, and Arlee made quick work of Darby. Charlo had a bye week.
Arlee 54 Darby 16
On Friday night, the Warriors hosted Darby for their senior night. After a slow start, Arlee scored on a 12-yard run by Isaac Desjarlais. The scored would be tied up for a few minutes before Harold Yocum caught a five-yard pass from Pat BigSam. In the first quarter alone, the Warriors recovered two Darby fumbles to help them keep Darby from driving the ball. In the second quarter, it was all Arlee. Alex Bertollt is seeing a lot of action after being cleared from a foot injury that has kept him off the field all season. He caught the next touchdown from BigSam and also ran another in from two yards out. Tyler Tanner scored on a eight- yard run, as did BigSam and Rylan Crawford. Darby finally scored again in the fourth quarter.
Arlee goes into the playoffs as the number one seed out of the west and will take on the number four seed out of the south, which is Harlowton. That game will take play in Arlee at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Bulldogs were celebrating their homecoming and their senior night in a contest that was more for bragging rights than anything else, due to both teams being knocked out of the playoffs. Mission scored first on a four-yard run from Nick Durglo. Ronan’s Kasey Mock would answer on a two-yard run before the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs picked up the pace in the second. Israel Umphrey scored on a six-yard run, then Trevor Anderson scored on a 91-yard catch and run from Mock for the Chiefs. That would be their last score of the game. Durglo returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown, then ran one in from six yards out. Polson 28 Havre 48
In Polson on Friday night, the Pirates met the Havre Blue Ponies for their senior night. In a close first quarter, Tanner Wilson ran in the first touchdown from 13 yards out after Walter Wood recovered a Havre fumble on their first possession of the game. Jacob Harrod had another chance for a great defensive play when he went flying for an interception as Havre was driving down into Polson territory. Unfortunately Harrod couldn’t quite pull it in as it slipped through his grasp. Shortly afterward, Havre scored to make the score 7-6 Polson. After a 35-yard pass from Wilson to Rensvold in the second quarter, the Pirates were knocking on the door again. A 13-yard pass between the same two would put Polson up by a touchdown. Havre would score again before a 59-yard catch and run from Wilson to Harrod on a slant route across the middle led to Polson’s last touchdown until the fourth quarter. Three touchdowns by Havre put the Ponies up 34-21 at halftime. Polson was not able to score in the third, and didn’t get much going in the fourth. One chance came from a Hudson Smith 43- yard pass reception that had Polson on the outskirts of the red zone, but a subsequent fumble recovered by Havre ruined that drive. A 23-yard Wyatt Ducharme to Harrod pass set up Polson’s last touchdown in the fourth quarter by Colton Cote.
Colton Cote had 86 yards on 18 carries and one touchdown for the Pirates. Quarterback Tanner Wilson was 6-12 for 160 yards and one touchdown. He also had a rushing touchdown. Back-up QB Wyatt DuCharme was 5-6 for 91 yards. Jacob Harrod had three catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Rensvold had five catches for 83 yards and a touchdown.
The Polson defense was led by Matthew Rensvold who had nine tackles and a caused fumble. Jonah Burke had seven tackles, Nick Marquardt had six tackles and Trevor Corley had five tackles and a sack.
Polson is 1-2 in conference and 3-5 overall. They take on Columbia Falls on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Columbia Falls for the first round of the playoffs.
