Wisconsin Avenue in Whitefish will be under repair for much of September.

The Montana Department of Transportation will overlay the road from the north end of the viaduct to the intersection of Big Mountain Road starting Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The project will last 25 days. Traffic will be maintained throughout the construction project, although delays are possible.

The Whitefish City Council has prioritized Wisconsin Avenue for a future corridor study to evaluate existing land uses and opportunities for new land uses to support existing businesses while maintaining neighborhood character, according to the city of Whitefish’s monthly newsletter.
