Gretchin Perkins and her staff at Cabinet Mountain Home Care are providing home care for the residents of Lincoln and Sanders counties.
Cabinet Mountain Home Care opened in July and the company has been growing rapidly.
“I have so many patients that I couldn’t even count them for you,” Perkins said. “We are growing rapidly.”
With the growing number of patients that Perkins and her staff are assisting, she’s recently hired a number of new personal caregivers.
“Our office in Libby covers all of Lincoln and Sanders counties,” she said. “I have multiple caregivers. I have a lot of people working with me. I couldn’t even count them right now. I just had a class and hired four new girls. I had a class a couple weeks ago and hired six new people. It’s growing and it’s been great. If I have a need I have a class and I hire new people. I’m getting ready to do some hiring in Sanders County. My patients in Sanders County have needs over there and I need more people. It’s been a great start.”
It takes a special type of person to be a personal caregiver. Perkins has 13 years of experience in the field and has lived in Libby since 2002. Perkins said she opened up Cabinet Mountain Home Care to help the residents in the Libby area.
“I wanted to help the residents of Lincoln and Sanders counties,” she said. “I wanted to help the elderly and disabled of both Lincoln and Sanders counties with their home care needs.”
Perkins and her staff provide a variety of services for their patients. Their main focus being assistance with activities of daily living.
“We provide assistance with activities of daily living,” she said. “We help them with bathing, dressing and hygiene. We help them with any personal needs they may have. We are there to be a companion for them. We are there to care for them. Each patient is different and has different needs. We are there to cater to their needs. We provide exceptional care for the residents of Lincoln County and Sanders County. Everybody that we help will be pleased with our services.”
Perkins plans on having an open house in the near future to help get the word out about Cabinet Mountain Home Care.
“I will be having an open house in the near future,” she said. “I had a community outreach program at Treasure Manor recently and that went great.”
