Dover Bay 5K-9 event aids PAS

SANDPOINT — Animals and humans will be running together for charity Saturday during the Dover Bay 5K-9 event.

Area residents are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends to the scenic run/walk, Saturday, Sept. 12 at 9 a.m. The event benefits The Panhandle Animal Shelter.

Registration is $25 for adults, and $10 for children 12 and under. Online registration is available at Active.com, and forms are abailable at Sweet Lou's in Ponderay, Laughing Dog Brewery, the Sandpoint West Athletic Club and at the shelter. Race day registration is also available. The participants will receive a T-shirt, and the first 50 dogs to arrive at Dover Bay will receive a bandana.
