A Kalispell man has pleaded not guilty to embezzling money from a local real estate company.

Travis Timothy Weller pleaded not guilty to felony theft charges on Friday.

According to court documents, Weller was bookkeeper for a local real estate company from October 2013 to February 2015.

As the company grew, bookkeeping became more complicated and Weller was let go. Weller’s replacement allegedly found several double entries and entries where Weller had paid himself unauthorized bonuses.

The charging documents claim the scheme netted more than $10,000.

A jury trial has been set for Nov. 2.
