Jeanette Carol Radke DeHart, a resident of Post Falls, Idaho, since 1969, died peacefully in her home surrounded by loving family.
Jeanette was born in Waukegan, Ill., to Mary and Walter Radke on Nov. 13, 1936. She attended school in Zion, Ill., with her nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by Thelma, Gloria, Millie, Jimmy and Ricky. Walter, Robert, Barbara and Norman preceded her in death.
Jeanette met the love of her life Gordon DeHart of Elton, Wis., through a friend of her cousin when she was just a young teen. They fell head over heels for each other over the next two years and then finally eloped in Dillon, S.C., on March 16, 1955. Jeanette and Gordon raised five beautiful children together: Diane Adams of Olympia, Wash.; Steven DeHart (Elsa) of Kodiak, Alaska; Linda Kuhn of Willow, Alaska; Lori Mullen of Post Falls; and Mark DeHart (Susan) of Spirit Lake, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Gordon DeHart and son-in-law Randy Mullen.
Jeanette had the joy of sharing her life with her 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Our sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend - she will be forever missed, but never forgotten. The loving memories she has created will carry on in our hearts and continue to bring a smile to our faces.
Please join us to celebrate the life of our beloved Jeanette Carol Radke DeHart. The memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.
