Logger boys defeat C-Falls, 4-1

The Libby Loggers boys soccer team kicked their way to another road victory Saturday afternoon, beating Columbia Falls 4-1.

The Loggers started strong, jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first half. Ethan Hoff scored two of those goals, with the third coming from Cody Wood. Columbia Falls responded with a goal in the 55th minute, closing the gap to 3-1, before Wood scored his second of the match to extend the lead to 4-1 and put the game out of reach.

Scoring: Cody Wood, Libby, 9:00; Ethan Hoff, Libby, 25:00; Hoff (Colin Maloney), Libby, 38:00; Daniel Skinner (Auguste Emond), Columbia Falls, 55:00; Wood, Libby, 72:00.

Shots on goal: Libby 19, Columbia Falls 12; saves: Libby 12 (Raffael Weber), Columbia Falls 15 (Brandon Karberg); corner kicks: Libby 2, Columbia Falls 4; fouls: Libby 14, Columbia Falls 7; cards: Libby 1 (yellow), Columbia Falls 1 (yellow).

The Loggers next match is at home Thursday at 3 p.m. against Whitefish.
