SANDERS COUNTY - The numbers from the 2015 Sanders County Fair are being calculated by rough estimates are in.

Deedee Steinebach reporter that Thursday and Friday nights’ numbers were up this year. She did report however, that Saturday and Sunday’s numbers were lower than previous years.

Steinebach also noted that carnival, camping, and parking numbers were were also lower this year than hoped and expected.

Concession numbers are still being calculated, but Deedee reported lower number than usual, along with open class entries.

She did say that the higher numbers for Thursday and Friday did help even out the lower numbers for Saturday and Sunday.

Speculating on the lower numbers, Steinebach believes the weather and smoke on Saturday and Sunday kept some people away. She also feels that the drought also created a poor crop season and thus less entries.
