The Kootenai Heritage Council officially launched the Libby Memorial Center events schedule Saturday evening, with a kick-off party at the center. Shauney Fisher provided the entertainment, blending her original work in with tunes from classic performers, bringing the crowd to their feet to dance the evening away.
Council president Gary Huntsberger previewed the acts on this season’s schedule, which include Wylie and the Wild West (Oct. 9), Scott Kirby (Nov. 14), Valinor Quartet (Feb. 9), Queen Nur (April 1) and Norman Foote (April 15). Also on the schedule are a number of school concerts, both band and choir and the council’s annual Christmas fundraiser, this year featuring the Flathead Valley’s own Smart Alex.
The Kootenai Heritage Council is a non-profit, funded entirely from grants and community donations.
