Wildkat spikers squash Pirates

The Columbia Falls volleyball team made short work of Polson for homecoming, dropping their conference rivals in straight games 25-18, 25-13, 25-13 last Thursday.

The Wildkats were led by Morgan Stenger with 14 kills and Cydney Finberg with 25 assists and two blocks. KJ Schweikert had four aces and two blocks and Kiara Burlage had 10 digs and five blocks.

The Kats faced Stillwater Christian School on the road Tuesday after presstime and then travel to Frenchtown Thursday.

The Kats are undefeated in conference matches at 5-0.

Columbia Falls, kills, 31 (Stenger 14), Aces, 15, (Burlage 5, Schweikert 4) Assists, 28, (Finberg 25), Blocks, 5, (Finberg 2, Schweikert, 2), Digs, 35 (Burlage, 10).

Search suspended for missing skiers

The search in Grand Teton National Park for two men with ties in the Flathead has been suspended because of inclement weather. The men are believed to be lost in an avalanche.
